Luciano Salvatore – Music & Lyrics

Luciano Salvatore is a renowned jazz composer, performer and educator.  He began piano lessons at the age nine and by age ten was already composing music and performing at local venues/functions.  Luciano earned a Bachelor of Music degree from Berklee College of Music, having studied under Edward C. Bedner (piano), Gary Burton (improvisation), and Charles Banacos (piano).  Subsequently, he accepted a faculty position at Berklee while continuing his education at Boston University with Edith Stern.

Shortly after receiving his Master of Music degree at B.U., Luciano moved to the New York metropolitan area and found North Jersey Music Labs, a private firm specializing in piano, theory, composition, improvisation, and voice, North Jersey Music Labs’ clientele now includes over one hundred students.

Salvatore’s diverse performing career has taken him throughout the United States, Japan, Italy and Canada. During this time, he also established himself as a producer of award-winning music whose credits include one of the ten best records of 1996, according to JazzTimes magazine.

Luciano began working on the music for DaVinci Academy over ten years ago. Luciano had some of his high school students keep a journal about their lives.  They opened up to Luciano about their feelings about life – about their struggles. Luciano turned the words of his students into over forty songs – many have which have been adapted to DaVinci Academy.

Greg D’Alessandro – Book

Greg is a prolific writer, producer, director. He served as the head writer and co-executive producer of ZODIAC ISLAND, a popular Chinese children’s show (produced in Beijing, Hong Kong and L.A.), which aired in syndication in the U.S. He was also the executive producer and director of CLUB 11, a South Korean show about sports and soccer, which also aired in syndication in the U.S. He served as an executive producer of B In Tune Productions – an educational music show for teens. He’s written material for SESAME STREET and for Nickelodeon shows including: ALL THAT, KABLAM!, and ACTION LEAGUE NOW! He currently has a feature film in development with Studio 8 based on  book (Turbulence) which he adapted from Regan Arts.  He also has a TV series (Chasing Clay Keaton) in development with Amazon Studios .

He is the writer/director of the new live interactive comedy, The Zombie Wedding, produced by Joe Corcoran (producer of the long-running Off-Broadway hit, Tony N’ Tina’s Wedding). He co-wrote a one-man show “Channeling The King” which ran at the Soho Playhouse in NYC in 2016 and opened at the Hudson Theatre in Hollywood, CA on November 17, 2017. 

Greg continues to work as a top-level story consultant for various production companies including: Warner Horizon, Echo Lake Productions, Alloy Entertainment, Dreamworks, Sony Pictures Entertainment, Lightstorm Entertainment, and has been a judge for many national screenwriting competitions. Greg, a member of the Writers Guild of America (WGA) earned dual MFA’s in Screenwriting from the USC School of Cinematic Arts and UCLA’s School of Film Television and Theatre. He’s won the Jack Oakie Comedy Fellowship, The George Burns Comedy Award, The Jack Nicholson Screenwriting Award and the Gil Cates Screenwriting Fellowship.

Sergio Salvatore – Musical Director

Sergio Salvatore is a noted pianist, composer, and arranger having released 5 albums as a leader under the GRP, Concord Jazz, N2K Encoded Music, and Travelers Road Music labels. Those recordings featured legendary artists including Steve Gadd, Will Lee, Chuck Loeb, John Patitucci, Bob Mintzer, Michael Brecker, Randy Brecker, Chick Corea, James Genus, Danny Gottlieb, Peter Erskine, and more.

Mr. Salvatore has also performed worldwide at notable venues including Carnegie Hall, the Montréal Jazz Festival, Ravinia Jazz Festival and throughout Europe, Japan, and the United States.
